Kyrie Eleison is an portrait of my niece. In a blink it seems she has transitioned from a 5-year old Fairy Princess to the very cusp of womanhood.
Captured are the elements of water and fire--in her eyes lies the depth of the ocean & her hair the golden tendrils of flame. Her gaze is open yet compelling with just the hint of an enigmatic smile Her given name means Life which is represented in the vibrant flowers that crown her head like a halo in a garden setting. Her middle name is Kyrie which I first heard in the 1980's song by Mr. Mister: Kyrie Eleison which translates to the prayer: Lord, Have Mercy.
As she steps beyond high school into her first forays into the real world, my prayer is that she be met with kindness and spread the same wherever she goes as though wildflowers grow in the ground where she has trod.
