Wait a minute! No, the title is not a typo. My brother, Doug, was into geology & he had one rock in particular that I always wanted to hold or touch. It was this rough brilliant blue chunk that was laced with gold flecks and white veins. Polished in a rock tumbler, it looks like you're holding a piece of the ocean in your hand. The rock? You guessed it: Apatite! It's chemical make up is calcium phosphate minerals occurring in hexagonal crystals--quite similar to what is found in your tooth enamel!
