Winter Warmth

Exhibitions:

* Tis the Season of Art, NHAA/Robert Lincoln Levy Gallery, Portsmouth, NH

*Exhibition #3, Juried Exhibition, North Shore Arts Association, Gloucester, MA

Woke up to the first measurable snowfall for this winter (...and it's still snowing!). Even though I grew up in North Central Illinois and have lived in NH for thirty years, I can't say I'm a fan of the white stuff. But there is something about snow that I do love ...

...and that is its power of the pause. Oh, you had plans today?! Errands to run?! Too bad!  And for those of us that continually pack 25 hours into a 24 hour day... I've learned to take these forced rests as a gift: no alarm, no appointments, took a leisurely breakfast, later will suit up to take my Corgi, Polly, out for a romp as she LOVES snow. When we come in, I think a cup of hot cocoa will hit the spot.

Yeah, it may be winter, but that's when we appreciate most the bursts of warmth wherever they can be found.
