I Wish...  One of the cleverly overlapped notions that wends its way through the storyline of Sondheim's Into the Woods, one of my favorite Broadway Musicals. If you've never seen it, it's a somewhat darker side of "everafter" based on familiar childhood classics including Cinderella, Rapunzel, & Jack & the Beanstalk. At the end of one of the big numbers, the last words sung by Cinderella are "I Wish..."

Did you kickstart the New Year with your list of Resolutions at the ready? Not me, I tend to ease into the New Year before setting down to both take stock of last year's challenges & accomplishments and see how I can build upon them to give shape to my lists of goals and wishes.  Though high on my list every year is graititude, seeking ways to be of service and to share the joy of living no matter what I may be doing.
